Chloe's First Sleigh Ride

Chloe here. Thought that since today is supposed to bring another blizzard with lots of snow, that I'd give you a peek at my first, snowy sleigh ride. It was up in Merrill between Christmas and New Year's. Of course Nana, Grandpa and Auntie Jodi were there, but Grammie and Grandpa came too. So fun!

Here's the group all ready for the day. It was beautiful and sunny... a perfect day.

Here are the horses. Dan and Don. That's right... Daddy and his Daddy's names!

Grammie and Grandpa take in the scenery.

I was a little nervous at first, but go used to it.

When we stopped, Grandpa introduced me to his namesake.

Then I got to experience my first bar... in Northern Wisconsin... while eating a banana.

Check out my fly bar stool.

Doing cheers with Grandpa... he's got a shot of something... I've got my trusty milk.

Here's the family shot with the horsies.

And the group shot.

I got to snack on some popcorn with Grandpa on the way home.

This was our view during the ride.

A shot of the whole sleigh.

And the heroes of the day... Dan and Don!

It was so much fun. Thanks, Nana and Grandpa!

High School

Here's Chloe with a couple of her friends. Aubrey on the left (winking at the camera?) and Kendall on the right in the back. Yes they are on the bleachers at a high school basketball game. A vision of the future perhaps?

One Week Later - Superbowl XLV

Chloe here. One week later and we are excited as ever in the Simek household about the Packers thrilling win over the Steelers in Superbowl XLV. Here's how we celebrated...

First things first. As you see I have my gear on, complete with my "cheese necklace" from Auntie Megan. Represent!

But then she helped me get my temporary tattoo on. I called it my Packer sticker.

Yes, I'm posing with Grammie Jo in the bathroom. And yes, this is the face I make currently when Mommy tells me to smile.

There was lots of good food including BBQ ribs and wings from Outback.

Auntie Megan made "G" and "B" cookies frosted in green and gold.

And of course you gotta have the green and gold tortilla chips. (Ironically, made in Chicago.)

The official, licensed Simek family Superbowl picture. As you can see, we love our Packers!

Uncle Morgan took a break from the pregame festivities to spend some time with me on the floor.

Uncle Morgan, Auntie Megan and Grandpa.

Playing with Grammie Jo. Look who's got the cheese necklace on!

Go Pack Go!

This was me just one play before Rogers passed to Jennings for their first touchdown connection. As Mommy says, "If Chloe says it, it shall be."

And everyone celebrate. TOUCHDOWN! And the Packers are the champions of Super Bowl XLV!!!!!! The crowd goes wild...

Grandpa and I celebrated by reading a book about the Packers.

Mommy! Leave me along, I'm reading.

Silly Mommy...

You can't get me this time... I'm not even going to look.

I got to stay up late and we had lots of fun watching the Packers make history. Go Pack Go!
