Casey's Birthday Party - Part 5: My Friends

Casey here. Everyone arrived at my party!

It was a beautiful fall day and we got to spend some time outside on the playground.

Ethan (8) and Nola (2) were some of the first to arrive and play.

Benjamin (3) is going the wrong way on the slide :)

Lauren's (5) just "hanging out." 

Nola played ball a bit.

I just watched the kids... and tried to be cool.

Auntie Megan and I make a cute pair, right?

Uncle Momo joined us too.

Paul supervised some goldfish cracker eating.

Then Grandpa fed me some cheesy potatoes.

But here's my favorite friend.  Chloe always gets down on my level to make sure I'm headed in the right direction :)

I love my friends!

Casey's Birthday Party - Part 4: Arriving at the Party

Casey here. So now the party is ready... they are just waiting for the party animal to arrive!

Grammie and Papa waited on the steps of the school.

Chloe was the first to appear!  Look, she's so excited, she's running!

Then Daddy got me out of the car.

We were both happy to be there.

Hmmm... time to explore.

Made it into the gym...

... look guys, there's a playground out there!

This door looks like fun.

Let's go see back to the entrance to check out the decorations there.

Oops, it was too far away, so Papa gave me a ride.

Casey's Birthday Party - Part 2: The Details

Casey here. So before we start the hoopla of my first birthday party, let's look at some of the cute details.

Here's are the cupcakes.  Notice the "tree cookie" beneath the cupcake stand.  That's the same one that Mommy and Daddy used for their wedding cake.

Here's what the cake table looked like from afar.

This little raccoon guy was the inspiration for my...

...smash cake! (And smash it, I did, as you will see.)

This was the favor table with some cute acorn and leaf garland above it.  The big kids got to take home caramel apples from the same place that did them for Mommy and Daddy's wedding.  The "littles" got apple & cinnamon puffs.  Yum!  There was also a book for my friends (and their parents) to sign with well wishes.  If you didn't get a chance to sign it, be sure to ask Mommy!

Casey's Birthday Party - Part 1: The Setup

Chloe here.  Wow I haven't blogged in awhile.  Casey will blog the rest of this 1st birthday party, but I thought I'd start this one out because I was such an integral part of making this all happen.

So Mommy decided to do cupcakes for his party and then a cute little smash cake.  Grandpa helped me start frosting some of the cupcakes.

Then I got to do some by myself.

I also got a little bit of frosting on my hand that I had to remove.

Then the day of the party, I helped Mommy put the festive M & Ms in bowls.

And got a ride from Papa!
