6 months

... pregnant that is! I was 6 months pregnant on July 7, so yes this post is behind, since my 7 month pictures should be coming up. Didn't want this baby to feel like we forgot, though!

An Interview with Chloe

So on another Mommy's blog I saw the idea to interview your kid a couple of times a year (when they can talk of course), asking the same questions and see how their answers changed over time. This interview was done today, with Chloe, who is 2 years and 8 months old.

DISCLAIMER: We were eating a dinner of pancakes and bacon while watching a Brewer game that we had recorded from earlier today. I think this may have influenced her responses.

What is your name? Chloe Jo Bacon (eating pancakes and bacon at the time)

How old are you? First answer: Chloe Jo Bacon Second Answer: Chloe Jo Simek Third answer: 2 years old

What is your favorite color? Bacon color (5 minutes earlier during another conversation it was yellow)

Who is your best friend? Reese. Chloe like Reese.

What is your favorite animal? Zebra

What do you want to be when your grow up? Zebra. Chloe want to be zebra. Chloe want to be zebra, Daddy.

What is your favorite movie? George (Curious George). George with robot (an episode of Curious George, not the actual movie)

What is your favorite book? Marbles book (not sure what that means. Marbles is her new stuffed monkey but he doesn't have a book as far as we know)

What makes you happy? Baseball. Football. Chloe like baseball and football balls.

What makes you sad? Monster outside walking on sidewalk. (We think she might have had a bad dream about something like this a few nights ago.)

What is your favorite food to eat? Bacon.

What is your favorite song to sing? Let's Go Swimming

What games do you like to play? Football. Baseball.

One more thing. It feels VERY strange doing a post with no pictures :) Stay tuned for some important pregnancy updates coming soon... I know I've been negligent.

Peas

Chloe here. Mommy is trying to put together a big post about Daddy's garden, but in the meantime, let's dedicate a post to my favorite garden vegetable... PEAS!

The peas are now done, but while they were good, I loved shucking them with Daddy.


He would bring a bunch in every day.


I love them so much I can even put on my "fake camera smile" for this shot.

Other Fun Things Up North

Chloe here. We did some other fun things in Merrill to so I just wanted to wrap it up in one more post.

Nana and Grandpa (aka The Gnomes) set up another fun journey for me on the "magical trail." Here I am all ready to go in my pajamas!


The gnomes had hidden JEWELS all through the trail. Look how surprised Grandpa is!


The gnomes may have gotten carried away building this elaborate city. Isn't it cool?

There was a super fun surprise at the end. A new book!


The next day Nana traced me and I got to decorate "me." I got to draw in my "coo coos" and "beebo." You'll have to guess what those are!


Then we ended our trip at the park. Here's Nana and me on a purple dino.


And on our own dinosaurs :) Notice that Nana is a lady and rides side saddle.

At the Beach

Chloe here. Another thing we did up north while visiting Nana and Grandpa was go to the Council Grounds State Park beach. The body of the water is part of the Wisconsin River that has been dammed up.

I was happy as a clam playing on the beach.


Nana helped me dig in the sand.


And collect some water.


Then I hauled it back.


And poured it into my watering can.

So fun!

Picking Strawberries with Nana and Grandpa

Chloe here. A couple of weekends ago I was up north and got to go strawberry picking!

Don't we make a cute trio? I'm not sure if I actually have strawberries in my bucket yet or not.


Grandpa picked some of the good ones for me to try.


Grandpa has me working the field already!


Mmmmmmmm.... delicious.


Did you know that strawberries grow low to the ground? Farmer Daddy taught me that.


Daddy got in on some of the picking action too.


Got my trusty green bucket... still not sure if there's actually any berries in there :)
