3 months

This healthy little man is 3 months old!  The last month flew by even quicker than usual with all of the holiday festivities.  I know I am behind on those posts, but my wonderful husband is remodeling our kitchen and I haven't had time to blog at Grammie and Grandpa's.

Casey is turning into the jolliest little thing you've ever seen.  If you pay any little bit of attention to him, you will be rewarded with a giant grin and flailing arms and legs.  We're not sure if this is his personality or if he just gets no attention during the day because his big sister steals it all away, so when someone does pay attention to him, he's overjoyed.  Maybe a little of both?

He has graduated out of soy formula and into GentleEase, which last milk in it, but is very broken down already to make digestion easier.  He still gets some soy but just until we use up the last of it.   He usually takes 4-6 ounces every 2 1/2 to 3 hours.  He has slept through the night a handful of times... 3 times in a row when we were up in Merrill... but his normal schedule is to wake up once during a 9 hour stretch... around 3:30 or 4 am.  We will move him in his crib with Chloe when he is sleeping through the night and won't wake her up.

If you remember from a previous post, he weight 15 lbs 4 oz at the doctor, but that was a couple of weeks ago, so who knows.   He is wearing only 6 month clothes right now and threatens to grow out of them soon. We are not done with our Size 1 diapers yet, but they are just too tight so we are moving on.  Anyone need some Size 1s?

He doesn't really like tummy time so we have to work on that.  He loves looking at his black and white baby books and flashcards with Daddy.  He punches and kicks so much, he could power a small town if we could harness that energy.  And the best thing of all this month, he laughed for the first time this month and it's hilarious.  We'll try to catch it on film.  It's awesome.

Happy 3 Months, Cheeks, we love you!

Christmas Playdate and Pancakes

Chloe here.  Last Saturday we went to my friend Reece's house for a playdate.  Reece's Daddy and Mommy made us a yummy breakfast that included some snowman pancakes for us!
Mommy made the first one so we had a template.
Reece got a little carried away with the red sprinkles, as you can see.
His Daddy had to vacuum him up right at the breakfast table!

Then we got to decorating.  The snow was made out of little marshmallows.

And the bacon was his scarf.  My snowman may have had 7 or so scarves :)
I put on chocolate chips for the eyes.
Here are Reece and I with our finished products.  Try to get a good look of mine because Mommy and Daddy forgot to take a picture of it.

But here was Daddy's "Meat Man."

And Reece's "M & M Delight."

After a tasty breakfast we did some playing... I love these guys!

Thanks Reece, Heidi and Scott for a fun holiday morning!

Christmas with the Heidemans

Chloe here. Last week we had our friends the Heidemans come visit from Minoqua.

Here is our annual couch picture.  From left:  Audrey (2), Ella (4), Casey (2 1/2 months), Chloe (3), Lucy (6).

Audrey was very happy to play with a musical toy that Sarah had given Mommy a few years back.  The little guys skate around an ice rink!

Then we started opening presents.  The big girls went first.

Audrey joined them.  They got some cool books.

Then it was my turn!

I got...

... more Squinkies!!

A super cool bedtime Disney book.

And a cool train book.

We all took some time to look at our books.

And Ella helped me find the Peter Pan stories in mine.

Then Audrey opened up her snowman pajamas and got so excited!!

Hi Audrey!

Here is Ella holding up the Disney book we got her.  There was a bit of a theme.

And Mommy, Casey, Lucy and Ella checking that book out.

Merry Christmas, Heidemans!

Country Christmas

Chloe here. This year we decided to head out to Country Christmas in Pewaukee. Mommy had always drove by and looked at it, but we had never gone. Given that we have been to Candy Cane Lane 5 times already this year, Mommy thought it was time to pay the $$ and check it out. Instead of me trying to describe what it is all about, here is a blurb from their website:

Celebrating our 16th year as Wisconsin’s largest and most spectacular drive-through holiday lights event! Country Christmas features over a million holiday lights festively displayed along a mile-long trail that winds through the woods. You’ll experience enchanting animated figures and holiday scenes – all from the comfort of your car. And when you’ve finished your trip through the trail, leave your vehicle behind and visit Christmas Village and The Streets of Bethlehem. Christmas Village is home to our spectacular, working model train display as well as a concession area to purchase refreshments. The Streets of Bethlehem is where you will be amazed by the near life-size Fontanini nativity display, an exact replica of the one found at the Vatican.

Here is one of the first ones we saw... Santa on a fire truck!
A train... my favorite this year.
Mommy really liked the snowflakes.

And Grandpa liked the poinsettias.

We all liked the lights tunnel.

And I liked the model trains!!

I had a hard time looking away to take this picture, that's for sure.

Ooh look!  All the guys from Rudolph.  I LOVE the Abominable Snowman!

Happy Country Christmas to y'all!
