2 months

This big guy is 2 months old!  Looking back to pictures of Chloe we are starting to see more and more of a resemblance as he gets older.  Click here to look back on her 2 month post to check it out.

Casey is still doing very well. He is eating soy formula and usually takes 6 ounces every 2 1/2 to 3 hours.  A few nights ago, he at around 9:30 pm and we didn't hear from him until 5 am.  Unbelievable.  We are hoping that this is a trend.  He still a super loud, grunty baby and his Pack and Play is now out in the living room.  He seems to like his new "bedroom" for the time being.  We will move him in his crib with Chloe when he is sleeping through the night and won't wake her up.

We have no idea really how much he weighs until his 2 month well child appointment on December 16.  It's a couple of weeks late because our ped was backed up. He is growing out of his 3 month clothes quickly and we just put out all of the 6 month clothes for him.  Yes, for a 2 month old baby.  It's crazy, I know.  He is wearing a Size 1 diaper, but will probably graduate to a Size 2 when we finish our last box.

He is smiling more and more and each one is a little bit of heaven.  Daddy will agree that he gives Mommy the most smiles :)  He is focusing on us very well with his eyes as well.  Also, we were at friends house over the weekend and we had him laying on a blanket on the wood floor... he was digging his heels in and scooting around all by himself!  This guy is going to be a mover and a shaker.  You can see in the video that he likes to do his baby aerobics.

Trimming the Tree

Chloe here. If you guess that yesterday's post was me decorating the tree, you were right!

We decided to get a tree the day after Thanksgiving.  Usually we go to Stein's, but Reece's mom recommended going to the "North Pole," so that's what we did.  It was really far and we had to take a sleigh, but we did it.  (Just kidding, it was actually on Capitol Drive just west of Pilgrim Rd... we had a great experience and would highly recommend it!)

Casey came along too.  He couldn't write the blog entry today because he slept through the whole thing!  How do you like his "candy cane outfit" by the way?

After we picked out a lovely tree, Daddy and Papa took it to be trimmed up...

... while Grammie and I clowned around.

When we got home I changed in to my jammies with the Christmas lights so I could match the tree.

Finally they got the lights up and it was time to decorate.

The moment I had been waiting for!

I put on ornament after ornament.

I put some high...

... and some low.

Mommy loves this picture because I am so focused on my task.

She likes this one too.  She thinks it'll be one of those she looks back when I am older and cries a bit because the time went too fast.

Daddy helped me put the angel on top of the tree... look at my belly!

Thanksgiving Snapshots

Casey here. Chloe always gets to fill you guys in on everything so I thought I would take my first holiday and blog about it.

Here was the picture we posted yesterday of our beautiful family.  How do you like my belt?

Here's what it's really like most of the time.  At least one of us is usually cranky.  This time it happened to be me.  

Chloe decided to go play outside and discovered Grandpa's giant pile of leaves.  This is how Auntie Megan found her.  Just a head buried in leaves.

She had so much fun.  I can't wait to be a big enough kid to join her.

Daddy decided to be a kid too.

This is my pretty sister.  Mommy says she can see what Chloe will look like in high school when she looks at this picture.  What's high school?

When everyone came back in, Megan and Morgan helped Chloe decorate a gingerbread house.

She had been waiting for this for weeks!  Can you tell she's excited?

Morgan was a master with the royal icing pastry bag.  I believe he's making icicles here.

Then Chloe stuck some gooey, gooey gumdrops on the roof.

She had lots of fun doing this.  I liked watching her.

Then I heard a noise... oh no!  Daddy got whipped cream all over himself!  Silly Daddy.

After he cleaned himself up, Daddy got on with dessert.  Would you like some pie with your whipped cream, Daddy?

I thought Chloe's house was really pretty.  What do you think?

Proud decorator.

The finished product.  It's sitting on our bookshelf how.  Chloe walks by it every day and I can see it's a battle of wills for her not to touch it, much less taste it.

Then they moved on to decorating some gingerbread train cars.

Chloe got to squeeze the frosting out.

This was by FAR her favorite part of the day.

Then Mommy tried to get a picture of Chloe and I on the couch in our Thanksgiving pajamas.

Chloe did her "camera smile," but it was getting late and I wasn't in the mood for this stuff.

Chloe even tried to butter me up with smooches, but I wasn't having it.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Mommy's side of the family, but missed seeing Daddy's side.  Hopefully we can all be together soon!
