Tball

Chloe here.  This summer we decided to sign up for tball with a local church.

 Daddy was the assistant coach, so we get to wear matching tshirts every week.  Yay!

 We all wear helmets when we bat, to stay safe.

 I got a new glove and get the play the field too.

 The coach (Daddy) tell us where to throw the ball.

 Other parents help too!  Paul helped me when I had to play 1st base.

 Time to bat again!

Casey's Buddies

I'm sure we'll remember as he gets older... but just in case we don't.  Casey doesn't go anywhere without his Fudgie and Chuckie.  Long live the soft friends!

Last Day of 4K

So grown up...

Mother's Day

Mommy here.  I was lucky enough on Mother's Day to have Daddy and Chloe plan the day for me.

We started with presents.

 If you can't tell, the kids spelled out the word LOVE for me  :)

 

 And they also made me a garden with the hand and footprints!

 

 Then we were off to Madison!  Chloe was actually excited.  I'm not sure why she looks less than thrilled.

 

 First stop was Vitense Mini Golf.  (This was after a rough start of Casey throwing up on the way.)

 

 But he seemed fine once we got there.

 

 Chloe really got into it this year.

 

 Casey did his own thing.  As usual.

 

 And we stuck together for awhile.

 

 Then Casey went off to explore on his own.

 

 We sure found some fun stuff!

 

 Chloe stayed with Daddy and did all 18 holes.

 This little guy seemed fine by lunch and chomped down some chicken tenders.

 

 How bout a ride in the Weinermobile?!

 

 And some cool Madison scenery.

 

 Including the a State Capitol replica.

 

We ended the day coming back to Milwaukee and having dinner with Grammie and Papa.  Check out the balloon we brought for Grammie!

VIP Day

Chloe here. Towards the end of the school year, we had VIP Day at school and I decided to invite Auntie Megan!

I got to show her my classroom and my really cool rug.

We listened to a story.

 

And even colored pictures together.

Auntie finished hers but I didn't have time to finish mine.

 

We also did a performance of our musical for her.  I got to introduce her to my friend Marley.

 

And Mikey too.

 

We had so much fun, Auntie.  Thanks for being my VIP!

Chloe here.  Back in March, my 4K class participated in a musical.  Here's what it was like!

Easter Egg Fight 2014

Chloe here. For those of you that don't know, the Shemanske family does an "egg fight" every year on Easter day.

First choose your egg.  You're trying to find a fighter that won't crack.

 

Then you go through Round 1, bonking your egg on someone else's.  As you can see, I eliminated Auntie Megan in Round 1 this year.  Casey played Papa and lost.

 

Then play continues...

 

... until we have a winner!

 

Can you guess who won?

 

None of the adults.

 

Here's the final round.  And the winner is...

 

...me!!  Just so you know, I was the reigning champion from 2013.  I must be really good at picking out those fighting eggs.

 

Then we take all of the cracked eggs and make deviled eggs.

 

It sure is fun!  And yummy :)

Easter Morning

Chloe here! Easter has always been one of my favorite holidays, much like my mommy.

I got up earlier than Casey (which is rare) and tried to wait for him.  When that failed, I tried to wake him up.  That didn't work either.  So we just had to wait.

 

It sure was hard when there was this bounty of gifts from the bunny!

 

Finally our little hopper got up. 

 

And found everything.

 

After digging through our baskets, we had doughnuts for breakfast!!

 

And got dressed for church.

 

We tried to get a picture with my brother smiling.

 

And we sort of did.
