Look at those teeth!
Casey is 6 months. It's so cliche, but time flies so fast, especially with the 2nd one. We can't believe he's half a year old already!
He's been rolling over for awhile now, but now we find him on his tummy in his crib in the morning, more times than not. The first few times, he would roll over and start fussing, but now he goes right to sleep.
We finally got a good picture of those two teeth! We're pretty sure that he's getting some more based on his fussiness, but they haven't popped yet. He's had a rough time sleeping that last week or so... maybe teeth, maybe not. Who knows.
He still loves his Jumperoo and is getting better grabbing and playing with the toys on it. He is playing with more and more toys in general, favoring his Nuby teething ring (Chloe liked hers too), the maracas and a couple of balls that are easy to hang on to.
One of his favorite things is when someone lays on the floor next to him and reads him a story. He goes nuts!
He also likes playing with his toes, which he discovered this month. He can put them in his mouth because his tummy is in the way, but he tries!
As for eating, I fully realize we haven't posted anything about food yet, but it's coming. He still eats oatmeal although he hasn't been nearly as excited about it as he was that first time. He's also had sweet potatoes, apples, bananas and peas. His favorite is probably peas. We're going to try avocados and carrots next. He also sometimes eats Mum Mums which are little rice biscuit things. He doesn't like food as much as I though he would, giving his level of excitement when he sees that a bottle is coming.
We're still not sure how much he weighs. But we have a doctors appt. this Thursday and will update you on all of his 6 month stats. He's still wearing 9 month clothes from Carters and some 12 month and 6-12 month from GAP, Old Navy, and Gymboree. But we've gotten some 12-18 month pants too to not push on his belly. Still have that pants problem... feel free to share about any brands that run big in the tummy.
If you are reading this, we ask something of you. Please leave a comment wishing Casey a Happy Half Birthday. We did this when Chloe was 6 months and we'd like to do the same for him. Someday we will print out the blog as a keepsake and would love to be able to point out each person that reads the blog because they love our kids.
Happy 1/2 Year, little boy, we love you!
