Casey here.  We may have paid a lot of attention to my birthday party, but the next day was my actual birthday.

We started with a "wake-up birthday video."  It's hard being on TV right when you wake up.

 And had a some "birthday slop."  That would be yogurt, oatmeal and fruit puree.

 Then Chloe gave me her present.  

 See how special the paper is?

She helped me take the bows off and unrap it..

 ... oh boy...

 ... a recycling, dump truck!

Casey's Birthday Party - Part 8: The After-Party

Casey here. All my friends left and it was time to pack up and go home too.

I played around in the entrance way while my family packed up.

Hey look what I found!

But now I'm tired... so I'll sit here and rest.

Casey here.  Now that cake is done, we can move on to my favorite part... presents!

Casey's Birthday Party - Part 6: The Cake

Casey here. We took a short break for a Halloween preview, but now we are back, finishing up my birthday party.

What's the best part of a 1 year old's birthday party? The cake (smash), of course! And I didn't disappoint.

After eating 4 lbs of cheesy potatoes (yum) we got ready for the cake.

Had to make sure I was hydrated.  My buddies told me that this could feel like a marthon.

Ok, mama, bring it on!

Happy Birthday to me!

The fire on the candle was a little bit frightening.

And then it was time.

I greeted the racoon first.

As my peasants watched.

Picked at the frosting.

Then Chloe let me taste some...

...and the rest is history!

It was sooo good.

And smushy.

I think I could be on Man vs. Food.

And then I hit the wall.

Nana tried to give me a pep talk.

I rallied.

Then called it quits.

And celebrated my victory. Casey, 1... Birthday Cake, 0.
