20 months

20 months. That sounds so old, doesn't it? Surely too old to be naming her age by months, dontcha think? Don't worry, we won't be doing 49 month posts someday. We decided when she turns 2 that we will do an update like this every 6 months. But for now, on with the 20 month post - we still have 4 monthly posts to go!

Chloe has finally seemed to catch on to this talking thing a little bit. Some of her new words include airplane, up, elbow, wrist, and hand. She also has superhuman hearing and can pick out a dog barking or an airplane flying overhead from 2 miles away.

She has formed a special bond with 3 friends that we affectionately call "The Chloe Trifecta." The Trifecta includes Spunky, Chuckles and her burp cloth. You can click here to see Chloe with the Trifecta on the 4th of July.

She still enjoys being outside the most and has the mosquito bites to prove it. Her Daddy has recently finished the swing set that we purchased second-hand this spring. She loves her swing and going down the slide.

She can turn the radio on in our bedroom and the living room and dance, dance, dance to her heart's content. She has more rhythm than her mommy and daddy combined.

She thinks she is a big girl and wants to do many things that she is still too little for. She pushes her limits daily, but is also a good listener and does well cleaning up her toys (and the floor too, right Nana?).

She gives the best "big hugs around the neck" and is becoming more affectionate with her mommy, daddy, grandparents and aunties and uncles.

She covers her mouth when she coughs, can blow her nose, and likes to flush the toliet... sometimes with random items in there, unfortunately.

She is becoming more "little girl" and less "baby" every single day. It's rather bittersweet, as I'm sure many of you understand.

Happy 20 months, Chloe Jo!
