10 months (photos added!)

Update 8-1-12 :  Pictures are posted below from our new camera. Notice the 10 month sticker is also completely wrecked.  It was a rough one.

Posted 7/31/12  **Note:  Our camera broke this morning, but I didn't want to delay posting Casey's updates.  I will add pictures as soon as we get a new camera.  Sad.

The big guy is 10 months. I feel like he's taken leaps and bounds with his development this month. Lots of new stuff to tell you about!

Even thought he smiles every time he sees the camera (see... he does have a little Shemanske in him!) he's not interested in sitting still for it.

He's super mobile.  He's still army crawling and it's the easiest and fastest way for him to get around. He can crawl regular too, but doesn't seem to choose to do it... I guess it's just faster to army crawl.  By the end of the day, the front of his shirt is super dirty from dragging it on the floor all the time!

He's pulling up on things! Mostly right now he just pulls up onto his knees, but sometimes, he will pull all the way up to standing. It won't be long before he's cruising, and dare I say, walking!

Another exciting development is that he is starting to talk.  He says "dadada" for Daddy, but not on command.  He says "bababa," which we think is either BudBud (our nickname for him) or bottle.  He says "uh oh."  This is the most clear one.  And also something like "hey" when we say hi to him.  He also does lots of babbling that sounds like it might be words, but we just can't figure it out.  Unfortunately, I have no video of this for you, because every time I try to take one, all he does is smile for the camera (see above).

He really likes music and still bops around and dances quite a bit.

He does like to compete in what Dan calls the "screaming game."   He screams.  One of us screams.  It goes back and forth like that for awhile, ending with him and one of us screaming together.  Highly intelligent.

Sleeping and eating has stayed about the same, with the exception of trying more finger foods.  Everything from pork chop to Oreo to watermelon to burger.  This guy likes 95% of what we give him.

He now sleeps with a soft friend named Fudge.  Chloe made it for him at Build A Bear before he was born.  It's darn cute to watch him cuddle up with his little brown doggie.

He did pop another tooth this month, that's 7 if you are counting, and judging from his disposition, there's an 8th not far behind.

We had our first bigger "ouchie" this month with Casey smashing his mouth on one of the swingset beams and getting a bloody lip and wounded chin.  No biggie, but it scared Mama for a minute!

Still into his Jumperoo.

I actually don't think he put on much weight this month.  Both Dan and I agree that he's looking leaner, since becoming mobile.  He's still wearing the same sizes as last month too.

Happy 10 months, Casey James!
