14 Months

Chloe Jo is 14 months today... well, ok, last Tuesday. We are a bit behind on this one. Mommy has finals next week and is also getting ready to take a student teacher. So it's been a bit busy around here. But, back to the task at hand.

Last month we introduced the photo shoot on the sassy, red futon. Unfortunately, it's covered in wrapping paper, Christmas presents and decorations to be put away someday. So we couldn't use it this time around. Coincidentally, Auntie Megan and Uncle Morgan gave Chloe a fabulous green chair of her own to relax in. We thought this would be the perfect place for our photo shoot. I am learning to deal more with a girl on the move, and think I got some pretty good shots. Notice the second to last shot, everyone was finally sitting still. Until Chloe came and stole the sign...

Last time I posted she took her first steps. Sometime a couple of days before Christmas she really took off. She now walks (if not runs) anywhere, preferring being a biped to a quadruped. She really is fast, unbelievably actually, considering how long she's actually been walking.

She has also begun climbing. She can climb in and out of her green chair. She can also climb in and out of her rocking chair from Nana and Grandpa (stay tuned for pictures and maybe a video). She has climbed onto our step stool, onto the breakfast nook bench and stood at our half wall. She is also climbing up stairs. Look at the previous post to see a video. I hope the next step isn't climbing the book case!

She says quite a few words (in her own little way). Daddy, Mommy, bottle, and diaper come to mind. I'm sure there are more I'm forgetting. She is eating well, with blueberries and peas being recent favorites. She got another molar and is working on the third. She likes to put things in other things, put her baby in her chair, and put lids on bowls. She helps up clean up by putting toys back in her basket. She is down to one bottle per day (woo hoo!).

Every day is something new and different, and it's a joy to see life through the eyes of Chloe Jo. The world is a wonderful, magical place... living in Chloe's world.
